"Pictured is Mike Schulsinger, a long-term volunteer, we mean long, since 1992 at least. Not only does he help manage our online shelter data base for the entire nation, but helps keep our office in Springfield running smoothly as well. He also delivers community programs such as the Pillowcase Project for 3rd thru 5th graders. Pillowcase Project is a preparedness program designed on the Learn/Practice/Share continuum which engages youth in not only learning about preparedness such as home fire or tornado, but teaches them how to share their learning with others as well. Not only does that make the information more valuable to the student, but places this life-saving information in the home!"
