"When Bill was still working, he was caring for his mother, Doris who did not want to leave the homestead after her husband passed away. While she could stay at home to care for herself, Bill’s fear was that she would get lonely waiting for him to come home from his teaching job. They decided to look into DayBreak adult day services at Green Hills Community. When he went off to school, the Green Hills van would pick her up and bring her home from DayBreak, where she met with friends, talked about the news of day, shared a meal together, worked on art projects and played games. Using DayBreak gave Bill peace of mind that his mother was no longer lonely and she got to spend the day with friends."
