This week’s United Way Wednesday: Boy Scouts of America, Tecumseh Council- Cub Scout Day Camp and Family Camp.The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.The Tecumseh Council has been providing quality scouting programs to thousands of young people each year since 1923. Today they serve more than 3,094 youth members in about 129 units. The adult volunteer support plays an enormous role in the success of the organization, and they now have more than 1,400 adult volunteers to help fulfill the Boy Scouts of America’s goals for all youth varying from kindergarten through fifth grade.
